Transforming GUPS Ground Panangangara into a Modern Sports Hub
This project involves the installation of a modern LED floodlighting system at the GUPS School Ground, Panangangara. Our goal is to create a multi-purpose facility for evening sports and community training, utilizing high-efficiency 150W LED luminaires and a strategic 6-pole layout.
Providing clear visibility to prevent injuries during night use.
Enabling the local community to use the ground after sunset.
Reducing costs via advanced LED technology.
Installing weather-resistant hardware for our local climate.
Following the European Standard EN 12193, this project is designed to meet Class III requirements for recreational and training use. This ensures high-quality illumination specifically tailored for local club matches and small-scale community events.
| Class | Luminance | Uniformity | Ra (Color Rendering) |
|---|---|---|---|
| III (Recreational) | 75lx | 0.5 | 20 |
The system utilizes a professional 6-pole configuration with three poles along each touchline[cite: 82, 83]. This layout is designed to project light from multiple angles, effectively eliminating blind spots and shadows in the center of the pitch.
3 units per pole allow for precise "aiming angles" to cover the near, center, and far side of the field.
Designed to meet Class III (Recreational/Training) standards.
Investing in this lighting system is an investment in the health and future of the students at GUPS Panangangara.
It provides a safe, modern environment for our community to grow through sports.
